Alicia Laverny is a Spanish self-taught Portrait Artist born in Spain. She owed her technique in oil painting to her curiosity about learning by studying the best painters in history, whom she calls her teachers, Morales (the divine), Federico Madrazo, Joaquin Sorolla, and all the people in the art world who bring her ideas and teachings, although she has increasingly explored pastel, which she finds more direct, spontaneous, and provides the opportunity for “unrivaled delicacy”.
